The Wind

i wrote this poem many years ago, on a cold autum night, with the wind roaring outside my windown. i was home alone, listening to my radio, and this just came to mind, so i wrote it down. later my mom found an add for a poetry contest in the paper, and we entered this in it. i got to the finals, and this was published in an anthology named the sounds of silence. we have a plaque with it on it, that i hang on my wall, at the end of the "front hall" of my apartment, directly across from the front door.
